Privacy policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026

This policy describes how YT PFP Downloader handles information when you use the website.

Links you submit

We send the public channel identifier or video identifier from your input to Google’s YouTube Data API to retrieve channel information. Avatar images are fetched from Google’s image servers through our server. No YouTube sign-in is required, and we do not request access to private account data.

Temporary data and service operation

Public lookup results may be cached in server memory for up to 15 minutes; image files may be cached for up to one hour to reduce repeated requests. In-memory request counters use an IP address for short-term rate limiting. Download links include a signed public image identifier and expire after one day.

Hosting providers may process ordinary access logs, such as IP addresses, request times and browser information. Their retention depends on the hosting configuration. Do not submit confidential information in the input field.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential, HTTP-only session cookies for sign-in. Your selected channel and image size may be stored temporarily in sessionStorage on this device so you can resume after sign-in. We do not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers.

Your account

Downloads require a free account. We store your name, email, verification status, linked sign-in provider, sessions and security records in our account database. Email passwords are hashed. Google sign-in requests basic profile and email information, never access to your YouTube channel. Our hosting, database and transactional email providers process data needed to operate accounts. Sessions last up to seven days; sign-out revokes the current session. You can request password recovery or account deletion from the account page. Deletion requires confirmation by email in the same signed-in browser. Contact us for other privacy requests.

Third-party services

Use of YouTube API Services is subject to YouTube’s Terms of Service. Google’s processing is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Opening the original channel sends you to YouTube.
